La Joya is a veritable tropical paradise with tracts of secondary rain forest, 2 waterfalls, therapeutic mud deposits, and gallery forest that hangs over a beautiful creek (Quebrada Seca ). H2O: There are 4 springs and two aquifers from which to draw and abundance of clean water for commercial & residential purposes. La Joya is in a zone of transition between the dry tropical rain forest of the northern region and the humid tropical rain forest of the southern region, containing an abundance of flora & fauna such as Scarlet Macaws, White-faced capuchin monkeys, toucans, coatimundis & trogons (family of the Resplendent Quetzal). All necessary studies have been completed for the property including the topographical surface contour lines every meter, soil studies, and a complete vegetation study that includes an inventory of all trees. Infrastructure is being built so as not to interfere with the path of the animals (subterranean electricity) and a team of forestry engineers are supervising a program of reforestation. La Joya is a unique, profitable and ecologically-minded project. |
